The support of governments and other funding organisations enables us to make a direct, long-term impact on the lives of people with deafblindness around the world. 

Sense International has a track record of successful partnerships with governments and other funding organisations. Many have worked with us for a number of years and in more than one country. This support has had a wide-ranging impact. For example, it has enabled us to: 

• Establish sight and hearing testing services for young children in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. 
• Create dedicated rooms for sensory stimulation therapies in specialist schools in Peru. 
• Provide vocational training and small business support to young people with deafblindness in East Africa. 
• Ensure that children and young people with deafblindness are able to access an education and life-long learning opportunities in Bangladesh. 

These projects, among others, have been made possible by funding partnerships with the Australian High Commission Direct Aid Programme; Canada Fund for Local Initiatives; Comic Relief; Enabel, the Belgian Development Agency (funded by the European Union); the European Union; the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO – UK Aid); Guernsey Overseas Aid and Development Commission; Jersey Overseas Aid and The National Lottery Community Fund.

International Aid Transparency Initiative 

Sense International publishes on the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). This is a voluntary, multi-stakeholder initiative aiming to make information about aid spending easier to find, use, and compare.
