Sense International is seeking new trustees who will support and guide the organisation’s activities in line with its vision and mission, and ensure that Sense International is governed effectively.

Sense International is the leading international NGO supporting people with deafblindness / multisensory impairment in Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Nepal, Tanzania, Peru, Romania and Uganda. We  provide support with health, particularly in the early years, education and vocational training and work with governments to ensure there are quality services which are sustainable and inclusive.

We also work with people with deafblindness to make sure that their voices are heard and their rights are realised.

We are building on the success of our current programmes and looking for Trustees with expertise in key areas to support new initiatives.

These include:

  • Advocacy
  • Charity fundraising
  • Contacts and experience of networking with potential major donors
  • The disability sector / movement
  • Research
  • Monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning and demonstrating impact
  • Early intervention or sensory therapy
  • International development
