Hemraj Goyal Foundation holds one-of-a-kind fundraising event for Sense International
18 June 2019
Yesterday (18 June), the Hemraj Goyal Foundation held an immersive sensory fundraising event called, SENSES, in aid of Sense International.
The event, hosted at Aures London, engaged all the senses of attendees with stations to learn tactile signing, explore haptic technology, experience the effects of different visual impairments and a tasting station with canapés, all while being surrounded by different sounds and music.
After speeches by Sense International Director, Alison Marshall, and Chief Executive, Richard Kramer, Sense International was kindly presented with a cheque for £10,000 for an inclusive education project in Kenya.
Richard Kramer, Sense and Sense International Chief Executive, said: “Last night’s event was fantastic and showcased what an impact our senses have on us. We’re incredibly grateful to the Hemraj Goyal Foundation for organising the event and supporting us. We’d like to say a particular thank you to Simran S, Simran G, Chesca, Anita and Avnish who played a pivotal role in the event.
“It is thanks to their support, and the support of those who attended the event, that Sense International is able to work towards our vision where people with deafblindness can be equal and active members of society.”
