About the role
Sense International has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to join our team as a Special Events Fundraiser and help take our fundraising to the next level. This full time, 2 months fixed term position working at our office in King’s Cross, London.
The succesful application will manage the running of a key donor stewardship event held at the House of Lords on September 22nd 2022. Organise every aspect of the event, ensuring it runs smoothly and manage the follow up activity and bespoke actions for all guests after the event.
You will be the first point of contact for the event, dealing with all enquiries and details via phone, email or in person. As well as work alongside the Head of Fundraising and Communications with admin and logistical support across the portfolio, where necessary.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage the organisation of the House of Lords event, monitoring and recording invitations, guest details, speakers and the running order for the event.
- Manage the income and expenditure budgets for the event and ensure that financial data is recorded accurately and safely
- Manage the communication about the event for all internal staff at Sense International and the senior volunteers associated with the event
Key skills and experience
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with an ability to prioritise, plan and manage a complex and varied workload
- Experience of raising funds through special events
- Experience of managing a variety of fundraising events
- Demonstrable experience of budgeting and financial reporting
