Maurizio Borgatti, Corporate Development Manager at Sense International, recently took on his greatest fundraising feat yet, cycling over 500 km across Costa Rica, from the Pacific coast to the Caribbean coast.

I have worked for Sense International for over two years, and during my time I’ve taken on a number of interesting challenges, including Dragon Boat Racing and a Perudo tournament. In 2014 I took on a 500 km cycle ride from Vietnam to Cambodia, and that’s where I caught the bug for international cycle challenges.

Over the course of the week I cycled approximately eight hours a day across varied terrain and, in spite of the aching muscles, loved every minute of it.

There were so many memories made, from those first arduous hill climbs on a surface of shale, loose stones and rocks, to negotiating slightly terrifying river and bridge crossings and finally sighting the Caribbean Sea.

You can sponsor Maurizio through his JustGiving page, proceeds are to go to Sense International.
